Voici un autre type oublié de traduction à but pédagogique : la traduction interlinéaire (ici latin-anglais). Il s’agit de la reproduction d’un extrait d’un ouvrage de Levi Hart et V. R. Osborn paru à New York en 1882 et disponible sur archive.org.
Here is another type of translation adapted to the classical instruction : the interlinear translation “as nearly literal as the idiomatic of the Latin and English languages will allow”. The original text is “reduced to the natural order of construction”. The original book was published in 1882 in New York by Levi Hart and V. R. Osborn.
